Rotherham pulls plug on CZWG's Yes! leisure resort

A ￡350 million leisure resort designed by CZWG and Holder Mathias in Rotherham has been terminated by the local council. Rotherham Borough Council warned this week that it will tear up the 2008 agreement, allowing developer Oak Holdings to build Yes!, a 132ha development next to the Rother Valley Country Park in South Yorkshire. Oak responded by issuing a notice to the Stock Exchange on Monday blaming the decision on its inability to secure funds for the development, which should have been completed this year.
