Engineers at Qatar University's Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering are developing artificial "clouds," saucer-type structures that would be suspended over an open-air stadium, shielding players and spectators from the emirate's suffocating summer temperatures that regularly top 115°F. Qatar will host the World Cup in the summer of 2014.
