SIDEWALK LABS, A SUBSIDIARY OF ALPHABET, and Waterfront Toronto have released updated plans for Sidewalk Toronto, a model smart city they plan to build on Toronto's Eastern Waterfront. The updated plans focus mainly on phase one of the Quayside neighborhood at Parliament Slip. Quayside will be built from 100% mass timber and feature retail, commercial, and residential space, at least 35% of which will be set aside for affordable housing.
