The Peabody Awards Collection forms the cornerstone of the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia Libraries, one of the largest broadcast archives in the country. The Media Archives holds more than 100,000 television and radio programs and 5 million feet of newsfilm; more than 70,000 of those titles are entries to the Peabody Awards submitted since the Awards began in 1940.
