One impact of the fiscal cliff negotiations and Congress' seeming inability to come to anything but 11th-hour budget deals is that at least one Wall Street analyst is factoring it into stock predictions for 2013. Strangely enough, it is not financial uncertainty that is the new norm, but media companies' tendency not to let that ongoing threat put a damper on their spending plans. Brian Wieser, senior research analyst at Pivotal Research Group, says the company has been tweaking its predictions and recommendations about various media companies based on what it calls the "new normal."
