  Professor Darja Zaviršek, Ph.D., is vice dean at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana and honorary professor of the University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. Areas of teaching and research: community mental health, disability studies and anthropology of gender and health. She is board member of the International Association of the Schools of Social Work and chair of the sub-regional network of the eastern European schools of social work. Currently, she is director of the EU project, INDOSOW, which works on the establishment of the international doctoral studies in social work. She published, edited and co-published ten books in Slovene and English, and numerous articles in Slovene, German, Croat, Ukrainian, Hungarian and English.;
