A chronic neuropathic foot ulcer in a non-diabetic patient: a case report

One of the most frequently seen diabetic foot lesions is the neuropathic ulcer, which develops on the plantar surface of an insensitive neuropathic foot. It is often associated with diabetes, neuropathy and high plantar foot pressures. In this unusual case study, the authors highlight that non-diabetic patients with other causes of peripheral neuropathy are also at risk of chronic foot ulcers and amputation.
