It's euphemistically called "romance tourism", but along the beach front in Mombasa, the men in Sofie Amalie Klougart's photographs are selling something more corporeal. However, as she discovered, "These meetings between local men and foreign women often spawn romantic feelings for the women that go beyond the act of sex... [But] the relationships are often characterised by cultural, economical and emotional inequalities."
