Scottish firm clinches export deal with China

A Scottish bakery firm has secured a new 12-month export deal with a Chinese wholesaler. Stag Bakeries, based in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, has begun exporting eight pallets-worth of product, consisting of more than 10,000 biscuits, to the client located in Shanghai this month. The wholesaler supplies a number of Chinese supermarket firms. The contract comprises eight different bakery products, including six varieties of Stag's water biscuits, along with a shortbread selection pack and savoury selection pack.
