BUILDING USEFUL CONTACTS FOR THE COMMON GOOD

It is a great honour to be the first president of the NAMB under its new name of Craft Bakers' Association (CBA) and the year is off to a very busy start. I've had discussions with both the Federation of Bakers, which has a great resource in the Slice for Life campaign and is willing to work with us on this and many other projects in the future, including salt reduction targets going into 2014/2015. So this time, when we speak to the Department of Health, it will be with one voice. Then, at the other end of the scale, I have been talking to the Real Bread Campaign, the members of which are mostly home bakers, but also a lot of new bakers who have never heard of us, but will be needing us as they grow. So it is a useful sister association for us.
