Scotsman Beverage Systems boosts brands dispense

Scotsman Beverage Systems has invested nearly ￡0.5m in upgrading its brands dispense department and engineering facilities, including installing the latest engineering design computer systems. The aim of the new investment, says European managing director Andy Hume, is to take advantage of modern manufacturing methods to streamline cooler production and, simultaneously, create one of the best brands dispense facility in Europe in terms of design and development expertise and production technology. He says the move is in recognition of customers' growing demands for ever higher quality customised dispense fonts to distinguish their brands in a shrinking market. The investment is part of a "revitalisation" of the company following widespread changes in the senior management team. The most recent addition is Richard Oakley, a manufacturing engineer with 20 years experience of drinks dispense, who takes up the new post of European brands dispense director.
