Hot on the heels of the $503,000 e-bay sale of a bottle of Allsopps Arctic Ale comes a bottle of whisky selling at auction for a remarkable £29,400. The oldest bottle of Bowmore in existence is believed to have been bottled on Islay around 1850 by W & J Mutter. William and James Mutter ran the distillery until the 1890s.
