If there was ever the liquid embodiment of a 'love it or hate it' attitude in a glass, it would have to be fernet. Known as 'the bartender's handshake' in the waxed-mustached cocktail community and as cough syrup with a drunken superiority complex by detractors, fernet is one of those drinks that begs to be reacted to.
