摘要

Collision repair is a tough job. It's not for the faint of heart. And neither is military service. I know there are a lot of collision repair facility owners, managers and other employees who are veterans, and with Memorial Day right around the corner, I want to thank them for their service. I appreciate veterans even more, given that my dad and his father both served in the military. My grandfather, Robert, served in the Army/Air Force in the Pacific in World War II. My father, Terry, served in the Army and went to Vietnam. My grandfather died when I was 5, so I don't recall any stories about his service. My dad didn't talk much about his experience in Vietnam; fortunately, they made him a cook, so he was not on the front lines. Still, he had to leave a fireworks show when he got back to the U.S. due to his nerves not being quite settled yet.
