Comparison of economical aspects of interscalene brachial plexus blockade and general anaesthesia for arthroscopic shoulder surgery

Both general anaesthesia (GA) and interscalene brachialnplexus blockade (ISB) are effective anaesthesia methodsnfor shoulder surgery. Possible advantages of regional com-npared with general techniques are lower postoperative painnlevels and a reduced length of stay (LOS) in the post-nanaesthesia care unit (PACU).
