Spend a few minutes talking to Bryanne Patail, and you'll know that this is someone who likes to have fun. He is quick to brag about his first April Fools' Day on the job, his creativity yet unmatched by his co-workers.nnPatail's employer, the National Center for Patient Safety at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, leases space on a 300-acre farm owned by Domino's Pizza in Ann Arbor, MI. Each spring, buffalo calves are born right outside Patail's office window. One April 1 about five years ago, Patail grabbed his co-workers one by one and said, “Come look, there's a white buffalo.” (A white buffalo, for those who don't know, is said to be as rare as one in 10 million.) People were running to his window saying things like, “Wow, there's a great Native American legend about the white buffalo.” Patail laughs, “I caught every one of them. Now every April 1st they brace themselves for whatever I might come up with.”
