摘要

Bacterial community structures and their activities in the ocean are tightly coupled with organic matter fluxes and thus thought to be one of the most important forces driving ocean biogeochemical process. Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU), halogenated nucleoside and thymidine analogue, has been used to label proliferating bacterial cells with detectable de novo DNA synthesis in natural environments.
