BIMCO President and Secretary General address shipping summit in Hainan

Bimco President Mr. Yudhishthir Khatau and Secretary General Mr. Torben Skaanild attended the World Shipping (China) Summit 2011 held in Hainan on 2-4 November, where the overall theme was "Balance and Breakthrough". At the summit, Mr. Khatau chaired the session "Model Breakthrough". In his introductory address, the President of BIMCO spoke of the need to seek model breakthrough via innovation, especially in terms of energy efficiency, to achieve a reduction in energy consumption.
