The article discusses the factors which decide product costing and how producers justify product costs per case. The production cost per case is considered significant because it becomes the basis for establishing selling prices in the costing process. Costing has always been secretive issue as producers prefer not to disclose such information. Factors such as labor and machinery costs are said to be an integral part of the cost-per-case formula.
