摘要

By performing structural analysis in perpendicular magnetic recording media, it is clarified that the magnetic layer is composed of a column structure which has c--plane orientation and an initial layer which has spherical random c--axis orientat ion. Furthermore, by taking account of perpendicular an isotropy energy constant Ku' measured by perpendicular torque method, we propose a quantitative analysis method to distinguish the magnetocrystalline anisotropy K~grain_u of column structure from the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of magnetic layer.
