It is inevitable that whenever the motoring world loses one of its greats, there tends to be a slew of tributes that err on the side of cashing in. But, in this case, we'll forgive a Carroll Shelby homage, especially as it comes via a car synonymous with his name, his company and his history. This year marks the half-century anniversary of the iconic Shelby Cobra, and so, with the inspiration no longer around, Ford, Ford Racing, Shelby American (Shelby's own company) and a host of other suppliers have punted out this one-off celebration.
