It's arrived! Yes, nearly four months after we ordered it, our 500e has finally appeared. I know that wait doesn't sound that long in the UK, but in the Buy Today Drive Today US, four months is half a lifetime. Has it been worth the wait? Overall, the answer has to be yes, but the first few days haven't been without a couple of niggles. Before the second loaner went back, its aircon started making funny gurgling noises then refused to chill the air at all. I checked the message boards, and no other 500e owners have experienced this, so I'm putting it down as a pre-production car issue.
