Finding the right balance in capital market standards

At the end of 2011 there remained only one story - how the sovereign debt situation was going to be resolved. This is the most severe threat to the stability of the EU and the future of the euro since its inception, and to the future of the European capital markets as a whole. Ultimately this is a political crisis - and it is important that our leaders are willing to act, to make the necessary commitments and explain them to their electorates.
