Japan ranks as the best-performing initial public offer-ing (IPO) market

Asia'sdeveloped countries to date in 2013, with newcomers to Japan's markets having raised $1.9bn since the beginning of January, according to data from Bloomberg. This is more than issuers in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia combined. Globally, Japan ranks number two by funds raised - a position it has not occupied since 2006.
