The European Banking Authority (EBA) has notified the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund that they are breaching EU law. The EBA is urging the BNB to make available Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB) deposits protected under the Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directive which aims to safeguard savings up to €100,000.
