IBM has been tasked by seven of the Europe's biggest banks to develop and host a new block-chain system that will enable small and medium-sized enterprises to conduct trade finance activities. The banks include HSBC, KBC, Natixis, Deutsche Bank, Rabobank, Societe Gene-rale and UniCredit. The system will deal with road-based trade, followed by shipping routes.
