A ceremony was held on July 6 tor the naming of new LNG carrier, 'Energy Horizon', built at the Sakaide Shipyard of the Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation. The vessel is a Moss-type LNG carrier, jointly-owned by two Japanese companies: NYK Line, which owns ninety percent of the vessel, and Tokyo LNG Tanker (TLT), which holds the remaining ten percent. The vessel will be managed by NYK, and chartered for twenty years by TLT, using it to transport shipments of LNG to Japan from projects in various countries, including the Pluto project in Western Australia.
