'Troms Capella'

India's Cochin Shipyard has received an important seal of approval with the successful order and delivery of an advanced platform supply vessel (PSV) for Norwegian customer Clean Design 81. Built to a design from Norwegian naval architecture firm STX OSV, 'Troms Capella' is the first modern, high-tech offshore vessel to have been built in India to meet the exacting quality standards expected of Norwegian-operated vessels. The vessel, built to the naval architect's PSV 09 CD design, has been classed under the rules and regulations of society Det Norske Veritas and flagged under Norwegian regulations. As with most new vessels, fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness played a key consideration in the design, with the finished vessel being assigned "CLEAN" notation signifying the highest levels of environmental compliance.
