New freight RO-RO for the North Sea

'Stena Transporter', and her sister 'Stena Transit', are a pair of new multi-purpose RO-RO ferries delivered in late 2011 to Dutch ferry company Stena Line from South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries. Operated by Stena subsidiary Stena RoRo Ab, 'Stena Transporter' has been placed in operation on a route linking Killingholme, UK, with Hoek van Holland in the Netherlands. The vessel's introduction to the North Sea route has delivered a 30 percent increase in freight capacity.
