The world's largest shipbuilder, South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has delivered 'Seeb' - a 318,000 DWT tanker - to the Oman Shipping Company (OSC). Arriving for service in October, the vessel is one of five sister-ships currently under construction at Daewoo. The massive tanker design has an overall length of 333 metres, a beam of 60 metres and a depth to main deck of 30.5 metres. Measured tonnage is 164,350GRT. The ship has a continuous upper deck with no forecastle. A bulbous bow leads the vessel through the water, with a transom stern aft above an open water-type stern frame with a semi-balanced rudder and a fixed-pitch propeller.
