'Kantan 225'

Chinese shipbuilder Yuexin Ocean Engineering has recently delivered the 'Kantan 225', an AHTS for Chinese offshore energy company Sinopec Shanghai Offshore Petroleum Bureau.Designed by Norwegian naval architects Havyard Maritime and intended to "implement Sinopec's strategic deepwater oil and gas exploration and development initiatives," the vessel is built to a very high standard and features several design and construction milestones.These milestones include being the first new building of Havyard's "Havyard 843 CD" design, the first AHTS in China built to satisfy the Hong Kong Convention, the first with DNV Green Passport notation, and the first with the IMO PSPC Coating Standard.
