An avid skier, Dr. Barbara Mandula didn't realize how arduous her crosscountry treks would be as President of the AWIS Educational Foundation. From January 2008 until June 2011, Barbara dedicated countless hours to ensure that the AWIS Education Awards program aligns with today's trends in science education as well as complies with federal regulations.
