La/Ventura County Awis Lavc Launches Outreach Program and Hosts Networking Social

The AWIS LA/Ventura County outreach program at Lincoln Middle School was officially launched by Allison Sargoy and Tracy Blois on the evening of February 3, 2011, with approximately 60-75 students and parents in attendance. They dis- cussed a range of topics including what type of research they did, how they got into the field of science, and the many opportunities a career in science may provide.
