As regional jets and narrow-body jetliners continue their climb into China's airspace, business jets have yet to take off. In 2007, the parent company of Hainan Airlines, the nation's fourth-largest carrier, should see first deliveries of 50 ERJ 145s and 50 Embraer 190s. Meanwhile, China's indigenous regional jet, the ARJ21, after some technical setbacks, should go into final assembly with targets of first flight in 2008 and delivery in 2009. Airbus, which has manufactured the rear passenger door and parts of the nose section of the A320 in Chengdu, should begin assembling the full aircraft in Tianjin, at a rate of four per month in 2011.
