The chart at right (Figure 1) depicts the relationships between exhaust gas temperature (EGT), cylinder pressure (ICP) and cylinder head temperature (CHT), among other engine operating parameters, and how they increase and decrease as the mixture goes from full rich on the left to leaner mixture settings on the right and then back again.
