Flight departments of many corporate operators create their own set of limitations under which their pilots fly. You can, too. Consider using similarly conservative limitations in your instrument flying, or look at your proficiency and just say "No!" to:Any approach types you've not flown recently-within, say, six months-if conditions are within 1000 feet of minima; Daylight IFR with temperature and dew point spreads at or below five deg.
