Trader Flies Again

Trader Air's Grumman C-1ATrader N189G Miss Belle has completed a successful first flight after its 11-year restoration at Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas. The aircraft suffered severe damage in a belly landing in 2002 after a cylinder separated from the port engine, damaging the propeller control system. With the few gremlins that emerged on the first flight addressed, the Trader flew alongside Mudfbp Girl, the world's only other airworthy example, at Topeka's Gathering of Warbirds and Legends airshow in August.
