Mosquito to Fly Again

Canada's Victoria Air Maintenance at North Saanich, British Columbia, has rolled out de Havilland Mosquito B.35 VR796 (CF-HML) as its restoration continues to progress rapidly. The aircraft will return to the air as LR503/GB-F, which served 105 Squadron, RAF on 213 European operations. It subsequently performed a Canadian publicity 'tour', including an aerobatic display over Calgary. The aircraft received its engine cowls and bomb bay doors earlier in the year, while June 2013 saw more major work as an undercoat was applied, and a new nose, the tail cone and flight controls were installed.
