Scrapping Legacy

Sand dunes near the recently closed RAF Kinloss will be checked for radioactive contamination after the site was identified last year as potentially posing a health risk. Hundreds of aircraft were dismantled there immediately after World War Two and it is thought that instruments with luminous radium paint on their dials were buried in the area.
