The Luftwaffe plans to say goodbye to the F-4 in style, with a three-day programme in the last week of June. Wittmundhafen will host a photo call on Friday, June 28, giving enthusiasts a last chance to photograph German F-4s, as well as visiting aircraft. On Saturday, June 29, an open house will be held for the local population and other visitors. Four F-4Fs are scheduled to perform the official final flight during the day, including three representing the camouflage schemes worn over the past 40 years (aircraft 38+10 in Norm 72, 38+33 in Norm 81 and 37+22 in Norm 90) and the specially decorated 37+01.
