Crusader Prototype Restored

Restoration of Vought XF8U-1 Crusader 138899, the F-8 prototype, has been completed by the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington. The aircraft has been returned to the colours it wore on March 25, 1955 for its first flight. Currently on view at the Museum of Flight Restoration Center, close to the Boeing assembly plant at Everett, it is expected to be moved to the attraction's main site next year.
