Jetstar Airways is planning to start regional services in New Zealand this December. The Qantas low-cost subsidiary will use a fleet of five 50-seat Bombardier Dash 8-Q300 turboprops initially flying to four regional centres - with Hamilton, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Napier and Palmerston North on the North Island and Nelson and Invercargill on the South Island all thought to be under consideration. Jetstar will announce its chosen destinations later this year.
