First Export Order for JF-17

Pakistan has secured the first export order for its Chengdu/PAC JF-17 Thunder fighter. Air Commodore Khalid Mahmood, CEO of JF-17 Sales and Marketing, confirmed at the show that a contract had been signed with an unspecified Asian country, with deliveries beginning in 2017. Myanmar and Sri Lanka have both been mooted as potential buyers. Three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) JF-17s were at Le Bourget: one in the static, one for the flying display and an air spare.
