Gulfstream Delivers First G650ER

Gulfstream announced on November 14, the customer handover of the first fully completed G650ER extended range business jet. Gulfstream claims the G650ER, revealed at the 2014 EBACE exhibition in Geneva, is the fastest business jet on the market with the longest range. It has a maximum speed of Mach 0.925 and can fly 7,500nm (13,890km) at Mach 0.85. This allows the G650ER to fly from Hong Kong to New York, and Los Angeles to Melbourne. The G650ER, which received FAA certification on October 8, is based on Gulfstream's flagship G650 and the additional range has been achieved by utilising spare space in the existing wing structure to add 500nm (926km) to the aircraft's capability.
