The final two Royal Norwegian Air Force (RoNAF) Westland Lynx were retired in December marking the end of 33 years of service by the type. The last mission took place on December 7, when Lynx 207 landed on the flight deck of the Norwegian Kystvakt (Coast Guard) icebreaker and offshore patrol vessel KV Svalbard (W303) outside Sortland. On December 9, 207 flew out of Bardufoss for the final time, departing to Bodo Main Air Station, where it will be placed on display in the Norsk Luftfartsmuseum. The other surviving active Lynx had departed from Bod0 the previous day to be retired to the Luftforsvarets Skolesenter (Armed Forces Aviation School) at Kjevik. In total RoNAF operated seven Lynx.
