Libyan Wings

The first Airbus A319 for new Tripoli-based airline, Libyan Wings, arrived at Malta in December prior to the airline beginning operations. The aircraft, registered 5A-WLA (c 2878), has been joined by a second example and will remain in Malta until Libyan Wings gains final approvals to start operations from Tripoli's Mitiga International Airport. The full-service carrier, funded by Libyan investors, will initially serve destinations in the Middle East and North African region.
