Following 18 months of restoration work, Duxford Aviation Society's Concorde now features fully functional cockpit lighting and the operation of the aircraft's famous droop nose. This is the only Concorde in the UK with the ability to operate the nose mechanism. The completed work was unveiled to an audience of invited guests at Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridgeshire on October 24, the 11th anniversary of the last commercial Concorde flight. The society has benefited from the help of Heritage Concorde, a group of ex-Concorde engineers and enthusiasts who generously gave their time and expertise to help complete the project.
