Antarctic Ops for Volga-Dnepr

Volga-Dnepr Airlines recently completed its first-ever six-month season of flights to Antarctica. Since November 4 the airline has flown 12 return services from Cape Town to the Novolazarevskaya Antarctic Research Station, carrying 190 tonnes of cargo in the process. The flights were operated by the carrier's fleet of Ilyushin Ⅱ-76TD-90VDs and required siqnificant preparation.
