Three Hurricanes flew together for the first time at the Shuttleworth Collection's Classic Evening Airshow on June 17. The aircraft are all based at the Bedfordshire airfield, the most recent arrival being P3717/G-HITT (owned by Hawker Restorations) which took up residence on May 9. It is a 'Battle of Britain' veteran and though built as a Mk.1, it was later upgraded to Mk.ll standard. The fighter ended up in Russia, from where it was repatriated, and was returned to flight. The other aircraft in the formation were the Shuttleworth Collection's Sea Hurricane Mk.1b Z7015/G-BKTH and Mk.1 R4118/G-HUPW (also a Battle of Britain survivor) which moved into Old Warden last year.
