AerCap has entered into a definitive agreement with General Electric to acquire GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). With this acquisition, AerCap will be responsiblefor more than 2,000 owned and managed aircraft, 900 engines and 300 helicopters. Completion of the transaction is due in the fourth quarter of this year, with GE expectedto own around 46% of the combined company and be entitled to nominate two directors to the AerCap board of directors.
